All is Bright – A MUST SEE in YEG

Albertans don’t let a little cold weather or snow keep them from getting out and enjoying some fun now, do we? No, and the All is Bright Festival on 124st is a great example of Albertans embracing this season in the city.

On Saturday, November 10th from 4PM to 8PM, the businesses of 124 Street and High Street invite you to their annual light up festival and let me tell you – it’s a must-see. My kids and I have gone every year and it never fails to impress.

For one thing, it’s free. That’s right, entertainment, ice sculptures, sleigh rides, kids activities. There is literally so much to do we are there the whole time to take it all in. It’s the sights, the sounds, a veritable feast for the senses.

This year they’re moving from 124 Street’s South Pole to the North Pole at 108 Avenue!

When they do the light up it’s absolutely magical. When you go, make sure you watch your kids face. That face, that wonder, the delight, and awe warms our hearts every time. The Light Up The Night Ceremony happens at 6 pm on the main stage!

Honestly, every year the weather is different. It was warmer one year, colder the next, you dress for it and you enjoy. The memories you’ll make this evening and the fun to be had makes this one of my absolute favourite winter festivals.
